五大版本EMTP使用说明

EMTP（Electromagnetic Transients program）在二十世纪六十年代后期由 Hermann Dommel 博士开发，然后将其带到了 BPA（Bonneville Power Administration）。1973年，Hermann Dommel 博士离开BPA前往UBC（University of British Columbia ）。自此，EMTP的两种版本开始形成。一是UBC版，主要用于模型开发；一是BPA版，成为业界标准工具。

1. EMTDC is not copy of EMTP. It is a a EMT type program, which is based on the trapezoidal format. However, there is no tie at the code level between EMTP and EMTDC. The EMTDC was initiated by Dennis Woodford in Manitota Hydro, and then deleloped by Manitoba HVDC centre.

2. In mind mind, Dr. Mayer never joined DCG. His philosophy is EMTP was developed under the funding of US government, so that it should be available to anyone in anywhere at any time free of charge, provided the purpose of application is not for any business in simulation tool development/marketing. Dr. Mayer and Dr. Liu followed this idea in BPA on the version called ATP till today. So ATP is absolutely free.

3. DCG licensed EMTP to IREQ several years ago, which led the EMTP RV.
