As a solution architect within the Energy & Utility CoC, you will be expected to:

•        Maintain IUN sales assets: references, approaches, IBM contacts, competitive analysis # u3 Q7 X6 s" `% l; i
•        Support IBM solutioning activities by providing specialist input into presentations and proposals  I! U5 J. Z4 E& X4 T
•        Work with local account teams, apply specific experience to building smart grid or power generation solutions for clients
* z8 j& F. W' ~3 b0 \4 t•        Build and lead internal communities of IBM industry practitioners through conference calls, online postings and generally connecting people: y* P* }/ M; E( o- U
•        Lead or contribute to the creation of an IBM points of view on specific smart grid or power generation topic
1 }0 L$ a# G# t6 V/ f/ S•        Define, develop and use repeatable GBS industry solutions

Solution architect CoC members are typically expected to have the following combination of qualifications and experience:
; c2 V1 e4 P4 L0 J; Z' s•        An advanced degree, ideally some combination of electrical engineering, business administration and information technology
, |; `% h: N9 ^% z0 H8 ]2 Z•        Considerable experience with the energy utility industry (electricity/gas distribution or electricity generation), typically gained through employment with a utility and/or several years of consulting, software or others services to the industry.
# {2 ?  n( o0 ~( B1 R•        Specific skills and experience in one or more aspects of smart grid, smart metering or optimization of power generation, with a demonstrated ability to remain at the leading edge of utility and technology advancements6 f, r% D0 M. l( u3 g
•        The ability to work effectively with people in other cultures and countries.
' G- b! }; @; P+ f" X6 k% w•        Strong written or oral communication skills in English # H$ A2 ^7 w( W( e2 A8 f% o

•        Apply specific knowledge of outage management systems and network grid operations

•        Work with local account teams, apply specific experience to building smart grid or power generation solutions for clients

•        Consulting or SI experiences in related fields is definitely a plus
