The first ; B0 s* y1 q H7 tthree chapters introduce the reader to the voltage control problem and the ) I( e% h: b# R8 c Z$ P4 Z' ysubsequent three chapters illustrate different design methodologies. the first chapter describes the power system control problem and the2 s) a6 c5 n6 ~+ R! ^
voltage control structures adopted in transmission, distribution and industrial ; X: G9 v9 o* J. t, oelectrical systems. The second chapter presents power system models that can 9 j2 G/ Z; n3 W, Zbe usefully employed in voltage control design. The third chapter studies the( O1 ]# N( [; O0 V" o" ^. ^
properties of the Kalman filter used in the estimation of voltage and current # _' R/ J' U( o3 e# Iphasors. The subsequent two chapters deal with the discrete-time design of,- |# i& B" O% J/ [, [: d9 |# n
respectively, self-tuning and model-reference adaptive voltage controllers. The$ K2 y' w; A& r
sixth chapter illustrates an adaptive design that is quite different from those O( U* x, @& E+ o; upresented in the two previous chapters, being based on an adaptive mechanism* @, |; s0 b. n6 ?
compensating the power system model nonlinearities. Finally, the appendix4 p* U! M! [8 t* N2 J
