The monograph is structured into six chapters and an appendix. The first 4 f; T2 _8 p3 Y* e+ i, {* Hthree chapters introduce the reader to the voltage control problem and the ' ^+ J# P% n M9 Q8 f. c7 ]subsequent three chapters illustrate different design methodologies. In particular7 l6 P/ n/ p( C& l K
the first chapter describes the power system control problem and the 4 D: f# f& A. G- Avoltage control structures adopted in transmission, distribution and industrial$ G. u4 ^! _$ o; k8 o2 S6 `
electrical systems. The second chapter presents power system models that can $ ~2 O2 O0 Q2 t: N7 gbe usefully employed in voltage control design. The third chapter studies the * N5 M1 |. t( Iproperties of the Kalman filter used in the estimation of voltage and current 7 X3 Q# L- X* Y! R. Wphasors. The subsequent two chapters deal with the discrete-time design of,( r) y8 w" @, [. f- u$ |9 y( V
respectively, self-tuning and model-reference adaptive voltage controllers. The 9 u7 a( s, v8 o! p5 asixth chapter illustrates an adaptive design that is quite different from those2 N! V/ G# W/ ]1 k
