Abstract—Many challenges face the distribution engineer
when customers request to interconnect wind generation to the
distribution grid. Distributed generation within itself presents
certain challenges, but combined with wind generation’s widely
varying technologies, generator output variability and nondispatchability,
distributed wind generation presents rather
unique challenges. This panel summary provides various
modeling methods for performing distribution system analysis of
distributed wind generation.
