In the Grid Code:

) B" B* W! E6 C" ?) {6 g2 H(ii) unless the context otherwise requires, all references to a particular paragraph, subparagraph,
Appendix or Schedule shall be a reference to that paragraph, subparagraph
! }0 k% a0 f' p/ k- {Appendix or Schedule in or to that part of the Grid Code in which the
2 }* x6 K, G3 r. p# s9 y% [# Mreference is made;
3 U% N+ Q) a+ K+ s8 V5 T6 |& S! ~(iii) unless the context otherwise requires, the singular shall include the plural and vice
4 G' j: ?+ E6 V, {7 a# I. gversa, references to any gender shall include all other genders and references to
persons shall include any individual, body corporate, corporation, joint venture, trust,
unincorporated association, organisation, firm or partnership and any other entity, in
each case whether or not having a separate legal personality;
(iv) references to the words "include" or "including" are to be construed without limitation
) ]1 @' o6 @7 ~- A/ Rto the generality of the preceding words;
(v) unless there is something in the subject matter or the context which is inconsistent
therewith, any reference to an Act of Parliament or any Section of or Schedule to, or
& e" o0 ?5 `9 Z1 H, y$ nother provision of an Act of Parliament shall be construed at the particular time, as
* j) w4 n8 N0 J2 b3 \* cincluding a reference to any modification, extension or re-enactment thereof then in
force and to all instruments, orders and regulations then in force and made under or

: \& H, L9 m# oparticularly defined in a part of the Grid Code, the definition in that part of the Grid
Code will prevail (unless otherwise stated) over the definition in the Glossary &
. x! {" r/ [$ j' X$ wDefinitions in the event of any inconsistency;
$ j0 O$ i, ?- Q0 G(vii) a cross-reference to another document or part of the Grid Code shall not of itself
impose any additional or further or co-existent obligation or confer any additional or
' r, J, D! X1 E2 i: Ufurther or co-existent right in the part of the text where such cross-reference is
- I: l) R( v* Z# tcontained;
' `% C: i/ z( F* R! S9 ?1 d(viii) nothing in the Grid Code is intended to or shall derogate from NGET's statutory or

person within the meaning of section 736, 736A and 736B of the Companies Act
1985 as substituted by section 144 of the Companies Act 1989 and, if that latter

meaning of section 736, 736A and 736B of the Companies Act 1985 as substituted
by section 144 of the Companies Act 1989 and, if that latter section is not in force at

(xii) (a) Save where (b) below applies, where there is a reference to an item of data

0.05 shall be rounded down to one decimal place and fractions of a MW of 0.05
