Version 31 contains some standard wind farm models

Siemens PTI is closely involved in the efforts of the WECC WGMG to develop generic models of 4 y' L, ` A& S$ G" @& G3 i
types of Wind Turbines:& \6 O- V, W" \5 c
• Type 1 - directly connected induction machine
& V' @6 d; j) D$ p% f• Type 2 - wound rotor induction machine with the external rotor resistance control
. D9 J( w1 J$ F8 g% d• Type 3 - doubly-fed induction generator4 J0 x$ U% y- @. s
• Type 4 - machine decoupled from the grid by a power converter.
" r6 v7 x4 x4 b: R) M8 hUsing this standards-based approach, PTI is creating generic models that are parametrically
$ ~/ H9 `" m" I3 J* ^; E3 @( Uadjustable to represent specific wind turbines available on the market. The initial release of
4 W$ r. @$ O9 @, Q5 ePSS™E-31 has support for the Type 3 model. Additional models will follow as their specification5 ^. v) K$ d9 W4 \
and design is completed.
