The electrical modeling and simulation engineer develops real-time models with cutting edge technologies for power system and electrical drive applications,works with top engineers worldwide and gets involved in a full range of engineering practices, from software to firmware, to hardware.; s3 n5 m' i: Y2 G
Main duties:( B& g/ _, c9 ?- L1 o$ }8 O- F; m
· Conducts simulation studies for clients :
+ k2 u( D1 ^! a. | z/ U0 s- O- Model electrical circuits.
; G* T. G* ?( Y8 M2 Q5 g, @- d- Validate evaluation model parameters.7 s4 w1 a* J9 a5 q. U
- Perform case studies and test cases.
0 g. q3 g0 P3 R8 S/ ~5 c; z* ?- Write reports.* C* U5 v5 y5 N [1 c( p* y+ j0 G
· Participate in electrical product development :
; J/ a& F# o* N" E4 S- i6 h- Draft product technical specifications.6 n2 d6 X. t+ i
- Simulate and validate models.. Y- R( V6 W: o9 D" [! A& W0 n
· Participate in technical seminars
4 u: r8 a) E, G; h. f: F) J1 h- Participate in overseas product roll-outs (10 % of the time)., t4 H5 a9 m3 W7 V
- Participate in providing Opal-RT product training to both internal and external customers. D7 b: L$ I" C7 S7 j
- Perform product demonstrations./ R) c3 P+ h& l& [) X# ~
Requirements:
2 G. a! y# }# X; l· Education: Masters in electrical engineering. Ph.D. is an asset, as well as a specialization in power electronic;
) `) v; @+ j: ^: p. j b4 [' b· Required knowledge: Knowledge of power electronics, electric drives, power systems and energy conversion systems;
! D! A! K- N! m3 y" _% M% k* F" r· Basic knowledge of the following tools: MATLAB/Simulink, SimPower Systems and EMTP-RV or pscad-EMTDC. Asset : RT-LAB, RTDS or dSpace Simulators;
, K9 V$ m0 i4 R· Language: Excellent knowledge of Mandarin and English, Korean is an asset;9 P/ Z: \+ x& P2 t$ U$ F5 w' U3 V
· Skills sought: Organization,autonomy, discipline and determination, good communication skills, goodjudgment, analytical capacity and innovation.
