Job description:
% R7 c0 p5 F# d$ B* Z2 W9 gThe electrical modeling and simulation engineer develops real-time models with cutting edge technologies for power system and electrical drive applications,works with top engineers worldwide and gets involved in a full range of engineering practices, from software to firmware, to hardware.
) u: |6 {+ s/ f% |2 F* p4 i' ~, wMain duties:* X8 v: [8 l. f5 T$ u+ J) P4 g
· Conducts simulation studies for clients :
1 B X x7 n3 n' p" F6 n5 e1 H- Model electrical circuits.
W4 U7 T7 x3 v/ J1 z- Validate evaluation model parameters.' e! D% F6 R7 z! B
- Perform case studies and test cases.1 }# L: e- N- Y8 `6 t6 Y. s
- Write reports.( r3 H" f8 C( v% v+ h2 h2 R# g
· Participate in electrical product development :
, R5 x$ Y2 l0 Z7 d- Draft product technical specifications.) S4 o. u& v) k/ M9 z: c r
- Simulate and validate models.* ]! P' u5 r l* R* Q# Q4 U
· Participate in technical seminars* O0 [+ L4 @$ B# [$ M/ t k
- Participate in overseas product roll-outs (10 % of the time).
$ m1 m j+ @4 x A" A R& u- Participate in providing Opal-RT product training to both internal and external customers./ g* r5 v) U) y: s1 t- V
- Perform product demonstrations.9 @. _$ V" i- m+ P( h4 `: O! P
Requirements:- F& J' [! V! e& r3 N0 h# J* L6 H& S
· Education: Masters in electrical engineering. Ph.D. is an asset, as well as a specialization in power electronic;* O$ N* N( c8 \2 ^& p) {& b N3 M
· Required knowledge: Knowledge of power electronics, electric drives, power systems and energy conversion systems;
# C6 B5 }7 A1 b, G- p9 K# n$ M· Basic knowledge of the following tools: MATLAB/Simulink, SimPower Systems and EMTP-RV or pscad-EMTDC. Asset : RT-LAB, RTDS or dSpace Simulators;. x: d: D/ n) c" C3 z
· Language: Excellent knowledge of Mandarin and English, Korean is an asset;9 B. l2 a3 z+ ^, U; Q6 h
· Skills sought: Organization,autonomy, discipline and determination, good communication skills, goodjudgment, analytical capacity and innovation.+ ?* I7 z! }- k, t, G& j# F) z% ?
· Work hours: Flexible schedule of 20 hours/week during the internship
