Job description:
& h( g8 o9 U: X' M4 xThe electrical modeling and simulation engineer develops real-time models with cutting edge technologies for power system and electrical drive applications,works with top engineers worldwide and gets involved in a full range of engineering practices, from software to firmware, to hardware.
Main duties:
: O3 P. W/ l7 G: a  m·       Conducts simulation studies for clients :
5 Q3 {" A2 [- B: @8 [-       Model electrical circuits.
. M) r/ {  }7 S9 f! q1 K-       Validate evaluation model parameters.
-       Perform case studies and test cases.
+ X$ M, B6 |) M1 u/ r-       Write reports.
" C* ~( P/ H  g' S. P8 P·       Participate in electrical product development :
-       Draft product technical specifications.
-       Simulate and validate models.
* u, @- T1 t" O! Q·       Participate in technical seminars
( u4 k$ C% Z0 }. Z0 x: D-       Participate in overseas product roll-outs (10 % of the time).
-       Participate in providing Opal-RT product training to both internal and external customers.
: [. o( M8 I6 L+ h' V# [-       Perform product demonstrations.
. V2 L0 \9 K& \  b/ rRequirements:
·       Education: Masters in electrical engineering. Ph.D. is an asset, as well as a specialization in power electronic;
·       Required knowledge: Knowledge of power electronics, electric drives, power systems and energy conversion systems;
·       Basic knowledge of the following tools: MATLAB/Simulink, SimPower Systems and EMTP-RV or  PSCAD-EMTDC. Asset : RT-LAB, RTDS or dSpace Simulators;
. ^8 k+ R# K$ O+ V·       Language: Excellent knowledge of Mandarin and English, Korean is an asset;
6 z; N0 G- n) p% ?·       Skills sought: Organization,autonomy, discipline and determination, good communication skills, goodjudgment, analytical capacity and innovation.
·       Work hours: Flexible schedule of 20 hours/week during the internship
