Job description:
6 Z& A: u& |( UThe electrical modeling and simulation engineer develops real-time models with cutting edge technologies for power system and electrical drive applications,works with top engineers worldwide and gets involved in a full range of engineering practices, from software to firmware, to hardware.
  s. r9 _+ i$ H( E$ BMain duties:
/ ?* P) Q! X7 O4 |·       Conducts simulation studies for clients :
-       Model electrical circuits.
& d) ^! w2 {# T-       Validate evaluation model parameters.
0 M- Q8 U& e0 c% M-       Perform case studies and test cases.
8 Y) E/ l$ }( ~7 S9 z* U  v-       Write reports.
" r: X6 E8 w, J$ H& |( P8 ^( X·       Participate in electrical product development :
-       Draft product technical specifications.
" u- m" L  M) s: [; |-       Simulate and validate models.
·       Participate in technical seminars
-       Participate in overseas product roll-outs (10 % of the time).
% @. g8 u) Y3 N8 L2 o% W-       Participate in providing Opal-RT product training to both internal and external customers.
* X- ?- n/ F# U: N-       Perform product demonstrations.
Requirements:
·       Education: Masters in electrical engineering. Ph.D. is an asset, as well as a specialization in power electronic;
·       Required knowledge: Knowledge of power electronics, electric drives, power systems and energy conversion systems;
·       Basic knowledge of the following tools: MATLAB/Simulink, SimPower Systems and EMTP-RV or  pscad-EMTDC. Asset : RT-LAB, RTDS or dSpace Simulators;
, K9 A% e3 n3 v2 H·       Language: Excellent knowledge of Mandarin and English, Korean is an asset;
# ?- T+ P" v& s& E' y4 \·       Skills sought: Organization,autonomy, discipline and determination, good communication skills, goodjudgment, analytical capacity and innovation.
·       Work hours: Flexible schedule of 20 hours/week during the internship
