The electrical modeling and simulation engineer develops real-time models with cutting edge technologies for power system and electrical drive applications,works with top engineers worldwide and gets involved in a full range of engineering practices, from software to firmware, to hardware." _; Z0 _* P* x+ @8 Y( r y/ x
Main duties:; O4 C: R P- R
· Conducts simulation studies for clients :
: R; | T+ e% q- Model electrical circuits.
. n. }4 n a$ l4 G$ H g0 H+ {& o- Validate evaluation model parameters.
- V8 ~4 ~# m/ c9 S7 y5 b: @. V- Perform case studies and test cases.
; v# S! l: F; [3 c5 Q Q* g- Write reports.8 m8 D; Q C6 T
· Participate in electrical product development :- Y8 [9 @- A3 @ x1 N" N
- Draft product technical specifications.
; E8 {, A9 X7 e" L+ G- Simulate and validate models.
9 X' m: r+ u6 W8 w. M· Participate in technical seminars
8 R, u9 C4 L8 n7 D( L- Participate in overseas product roll-outs (10 % of the time).
4 t4 D+ F& m$ ?" E1 b" K9 p, \- Participate in providing Opal-RT product training to both internal and external customers.* T+ F6 M' B2 y& [1 f* S0 F5 o8 R
- Perform product demonstrations.
7 O9 b0 `7 M4 K+ U5 vRequirements:# Y; l% a6 ?7 Z
· Education: Masters in electrical engineering. Ph.D. is an asset, as well as a specialization in power electronic;) @' M; [" g. u1 T; r w
· Required knowledge: Knowledge of power electronics, electric drives, power systems and energy conversion systems;
# n" C" }* H0 z· Basic knowledge of the following tools: MATLAB/Simulink, SimPower Systems and EMTP-RV or pscad-EMTDC. Asset : RT-LAB, RTDS or dSpace Simulators;
) [& ] |. p, f7 V· Language: Excellent knowledge of Mandarin and English, Korean is an asset;- K, @, N8 s$ u, C* D) ~2 A8 L
· Skills sought: Organization,autonomy, discipline and determination, good communication skills, goodjudgment, analytical capacity and innovation.3 k: g* M7 Z4 G
· Work hours: Flexible schedule of 20 hours/week during the internship6 |- U h0 i3 y$ H5 q9 S' e
