打个比方，写学术文章时，应尽量避免使用非正式词汇。本书附录中第一个就是一个关于对应的正式词汇和非正式词汇的列表。
比如：不用obtain或get，而是用acquire来表示得到；不用carry out或do，而是用conduct来表示进行开展。

12分的感谢楼主的分享。为此下载特地注册。可真不容易啊，想想俺一文科生，毕业也10年了，那点基础物理早就还给我的中学物理老师了。。不过这本词汇书真的是非常好的学习资料。原本要21欧的，最近口袋紧张，没舍得。

单从字面来看这句话，语法不是十分正确

1) in the Internet 应该改成 over the Internet
6 z. d0 v0 g! m6 r0 N2) like to read the book 重点是指读书的习惯, 应该改成 like the book
3) luck on searching  应该改成 luck searching 或是 luck by searching
