Siemens PTI is closely involved in the efforts of the WECC WGMG to develop generic models of 43 C2 V1 G8 Y- r
types of Wind Turbines:6 p: {4 T) P$ q J
• Type 1 - directly connected induction machine
; [/ m' c" V- P0 g• Type 2 - wound rotor induction machine with the external rotor resistance control& K& c& [% Y( ^
• Type 3 - doubly-fed induction generator
% f/ J. U$ |$ }. r) T• Type 4 - machine decoupled from the grid by a power converter.
- X' g! a6 p pUsing this standards-based approach, PTI is creating generic models that are parametrically
