Siemens Power Technologies International (PTI) recently opened its office in China, providing network consulting, software solutions, and training on power transmission & distribution for the local customers. PTI is a business under Services Business Unit of Smart Grid Division, Infrastructure & Cities Sector (IC SG SE). On Mar.07, 2012, Dr. Ali Haj-Fraj, the global segment head of PTI visited China and witnessed the milestone – adding a new business portfolio in China.( u A% O; z G5 j# m0 S5 n

Before setting up the local office, customers had to enquire HQ or colleagues in US for necessary service and support. Now, with the competence established in China, the issues can be easily solved. “With the establishment of PTI office in China, we look forward to providing our customers with innovative solutions for flexible delivery, sustainable and reliable supply and smart consumption of electricity,” said Dr. Ali Haj-Fraj.

Economic and environmental concerns are driving government agencies and distribution utilities to support the integration of Smart Grid technologies including distribution automation, distributed generation, electric vehicles, energy storage and Micro Grids. By integrating systems to make the grid more efficient, Siemens is encouraging production of cleaner electricity and enabling new business processes for utilities. |
