An energy management system (EMS) is usually a system of computer-aided tools used by operators of electric utility grids to monitor, control, and optimize the performance of the generation and/or transmission system. The monitor and control functions are known as SCADA; the optimization packages are often referred to as "advanced applications".
Depending on the global location, this computer technology is also referred to as SCADA/EMS or EMS/SCADA. In these respects, the terminology EMS then excludes the monitoring and control functions but more specifically refers to the collective suite of power network applications and to the generation control and scheduling applications.
SCADA is the acronym for Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition. The term is used differently in North America than in the rest of the world:
In North America; SCADA refers to a large-scale, distributed measurement and control system.
In the rest of the world; SCADA is any system that performs Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, independent of its size or geographical distribution.
SCADA systems are typically used to perform data collection and control at the supervisory level. Some SCADA systems only monitor without doing control, these systems are still referred to as SCADA systems.

Express Mail Service 特快专递邮件服务
ElectroMagnetic Susceptibility 电磁抗扰度
Energe Management System 能量管理系统
等等 路过正点学分啊啊::titter::
