    PTI (PSS/E) format is the most popular format, which are accepted by most of the commercial software. It is nice, clean and complete.

    IEEE common format, is fine for research, but not as good as PTI. The worst thing is the bus number are limited to 5 digits, which sometime causes unnecessary problem.

    BPA (WSCC) format, is good and popular in China. But it is not complete. It takes flat start only, which only works for BPA. BPA is super robust for starting. Also it doesn't have Q limit, which is not good for voltage stability study.
